How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. With a recommended 60W equivalent LED bulb (about 800 lumens), it provides ample task lighting for a kitchen island or dining table. For ambient mood lighting, a 40W equivalent (450 lumens) works well. Bulbs are not included.
