Description
An 8-inch semi-flush mount ceiling light with a hand-blown light smoke glass shade, finished in oil rubbed bronze, for kitchens, dining rooms, and entryways.
The Chelsea collection features delicate, fluted glass shades that exude timeless sophistication. The graceful curves of the glass create a soft, ambient glow, adding a touch of refinement to any space. The oil rubbed bronze metal canopy complements the light smoke glass, blending classic style with contemporary appeal.
Best for
- Kitchens and dining rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing ambient light over tables or islands
- Entryways and foyers, making a refined first impression
- Hallways and corridors needing soft, even illumination
- Covered porches and patios, as it is damp-rated for covered outdoor areas
- Bedrooms and sitting areas where a hanging pendant is not desired
Not ideal for
- Spaces with sloped ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Large rooms needing bright, primary illumination, as it is designed for accent or ambient light
- Areas requiring a hanging pendant or chandelier style
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included) or compatible LED, fluorescent, or halogen bulbs. With a 100W bulb, expect brightness similar to a traditional 100W incandescent, suitable for ambient lighting in small to medium spaces.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is not specified, but the light smoke glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm, inviting glow. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust brightness to suit your mood. For best results, use a standard dimmer compatible with your bulb type.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 8 inches wide, 8 inches deep, and 20.5 inches high. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter. This size works well in kitchens, dining rooms, and entryways with 8-9 ft ceilings. It is hardwired and requires partial assembly.
