Description
A compact 8-inch semi-flush mount with a delicate fluted glass shade, ideal for kitchens, dining rooms, and entryways.
The Chelsea semi-flush mount pairs a matte black metal canopy with a hand-blown light smoke glass shade. The fluted glass diffuses light softly, creating a warm, ambient glow that suits both classic and contemporary interiors. Its compact size makes it a versatile choice for smaller spaces.
Best for
- Kitchens over a sink or breakfast bar, providing focused task lighting
- Dining rooms with low ceilings, mounted to avoid obstruction
- Entryways and hallways, adding a welcoming glow
- Bedrooms as a central light fixture in rooms up to 10x10 ft
- Bathrooms and covered patios, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Large rooms over 15x15 ft, as the single 100W bulb may not provide sufficient illumination
- Sloped ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain, as it is only damp-rated
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this fixture can produce up to 1600 lumens, comparable to a traditional 100W bulb. This is suitable for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms, but for larger spaces you may need additional lighting.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting atmosphere, select a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The fluted glass shade diffuses light, reducing glare and creating a soft, even glow. This fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 8 inches wide by 8 inches deep and 20.5 inches high. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter. This fixture is best for ceilings at least 8 feet high. It is not sloped ceiling adaptable.
