The Caledonia island light combines a sleek brushed brass frame with four Mouchette glass shades, each in a bell/urn shape that diffuses light beautifully. The steel and cast brass construction ensures durability, while the adjustable hanging height (18.88 to 42.88 inches) accommodates various ceiling heights. This fixture is damp-rated, making it suitable for covered patios as well.

How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose (not included). With four medium-base (E26) sockets, you can install up to 60W incandescent equivalent bulbs per socket, yielding a total of up to 240W equivalent. For a typical kitchen island, we recommend 4 x 60W equivalent LED bulbs (about 800 lumens each) for a total of 3200 lumens - bright enough for food prep and dining. The Mouchette glass shades soften and diffuse the light, reducing glare.

Light color and feel

Choose your own light color by selecting bulbs with your preferred Kelvin temperature. For a warm, inviting glow, use 2700K-3000K bulbs. For a more modern, crisp light, choose 3500K-4000K. The colorful Mouchette glass adds a subtle tint to the light, creating a warm ambiance. The fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmer switches and dimmable bulbs.

Are bulbs included? No, bulbs are not included. The fixture requires 4 medium base (E26) bulbs, recommended ST64 vintage shape.

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Yes, when used with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Use a standard incandescent or LED dimmer rated for the total wattage.
