Description
A compact 8-inch flush mount ceiling light with a mercury glass globe, ideal for hallways, bedrooms, and entryways.
The Caden Beacon flush mount brings industrial inspiration with exposed fittings and a modern, clean-lined silhouette. The satin gold metal canopy and hand-blown mercury glass globe create a dramatic yet versatile look that suits a range of interiors, from industrial lofts to traditional homes.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors with 8-10 ft ceilings, providing ambient light
- Bedrooms as a soft overhead light, especially in seating areas or walk-in closets
- Entryways and foyers, mounted at standard ceiling height
- Dining rooms or living rooms as accent lighting in a cluster or single installation
- Covered porches or bathrooms, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Large open rooms needing bright, task-level illumination - this is a 100W incandescent-equivalent accent light
- Sloped ceilings, as it is not sloped-ceiling adaptable
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain or moisture, despite damp rating
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this fixture delivers approximately 1600 lumens - comparable to a standard 100W bulb, suitable for ambient lighting in small to medium rooms, but not as a primary task light.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy glow, pair with a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare and creating a gentle, inviting atmosphere.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 8 inches in diameter and 12.75 inches in height, with a 4.5-inch canopy. It is designed for flush mounting on flat ceilings and requires a minimum ceiling height of about 8 feet for comfortable clearance.
