Description
A 12-inch mini pendant from the Beacon Collection, finished in black antique brass with a mercury glass globe, for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Caden pendant takes industrial inspiration and gives it a modern edge. Exposed fittings and a hand-blown mercury glass globe create a dramatic, vintage look that works in a range of interiors. The black antique brass finish and globe shape make it a versatile accent for both traditional and industrial spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, hung in a row of two or three for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms, centered over a table for a warm, focused glow
- Entryways and foyers, adding a statement piece at medium height
- Breakfast nooks and casual dining areas
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is damp-rated but not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is about 23 inches
- Primary task lighting in large rooms, as a single 100W bulb may not provide enough light
How bright is it?
This pendant uses a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included) and is rated for 60 watts maximum per socket. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but with a 60W bulb you can expect roughly 800 lumens, similar to a standard household bulb. It's ideal for accent and ambient lighting, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm, ambient feel that flatters wood and brass interiors. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 12 inches wide and 16 inches tall, with an adjustable hanging height from 22.88 to 46.88 inches using the included stems. It works well over kitchen islands and dining tables with standard 8-9 foot ceilings. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter.
