Description
A 10-inch semi-flush mount light with a hand-blown opal glass globe, finished in polished nickel, for bedrooms, hallways, and other spaces with lower ceilings.
The Brookhaven Sphere collection brings a clean, modern silhouette to your ceiling. The hand-blown opal glass shade diffuses light softly, while the polished nickel metal canopy adds a touch of refinement. This fixture fits seamlessly into a variety of decor styles, from industrial to transitional.
Best for
- Bedrooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing ambient light without overwhelming the space
- Hallways and entryways, mounted flush to the ceiling to maintain clearance
- Dining areas and kitchens where a low-profile light is needed
- Living rooms and sitting areas, adding a soft glow and modern accent
- Damp locations such as covered patios or bathrooms with ventilation
Not ideal for
- Large rooms over 12x12 ft where a single 100W bulb may not provide sufficient primary lighting
- Sloped ceilings - this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain - rated for damp locations only
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this fixture can produce up to about 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb, enough for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms. For a softer glow, use a lower wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The opal glass shade diffuses light to create a warm, even glow. The color temperature depends on the bulb you choose; a 2700K-3000K LED bulb will give a cozy, warm white light that flatters skin tones and wood finishes. This fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 10 inches wide by 10 inches deep by 11 inches high. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter. This compact size works well in rooms with 8-foot ceilings, as it hangs close to the ceiling. The fixture weighs only 3.25 lbs, making it easy to install.
