Description
A 1-light stem mini pendant with a globe-shaped slate glass shade, finished in matte black, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Brookhaven Globe collection offers a sleek, modern design that fits seamlessly into a variety of décor styles. This mini pendant features a matte black metal frame and a hand-blown slate glass globe shade, creating a soft, diffused light. The adjustable stems allow for customizable hanging lengths, and the 90-degree swivel makes it suitable for sloped ceilings.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, hung in a row of two or three for ambient and task lighting
- Dining rooms, centered over a table for a warm, inviting glow
- Entryways and foyers, adding a modern touch
- Breakfast nooks and casual dining spaces
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp location rating
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is rated for damp locations only, not wet
- Spaces with low ceilings under 8 feet, as the pendant can hang up to 38.88 inches
- Rooms needing bright, focused task lighting, as it is designed for ambient and accent light
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W bulb, this fixture can produce up to 1600 lumens (assuming a 100W incandescent equivalent), which is similar to a traditional 100W bulb. This provides ample light for a kitchen island or dining table, but it is not intended to be the sole light source for a large room.
Light color and feel
The slate glass shade diffuses the light, creating a soft, warm glow. The color temperature will depend on the bulb you choose; for a warm, cozy feel, select a 2700K-3000K bulb. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 7.88 inches in diameter and 11.63 inches in height. The overall height can be adjusted from 14.88 to 38.88 inches using the included stems (one 6-inch and two 12-inch). The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter. This fixture works well in rooms with standard 8-9 foot ceilings, and the adjustable stems accommodate higher ceilings.
