Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. The fixture accepts three medium-base (E26) bulbs up to 60W each (or LED equivalent). With three 60W incandescent bulbs, expect about 2400 lumens total - enough for ambient lighting in a medium room. For a softer glow, use lower wattage or dimmable bulbs.
