Best for
- Kitchen islands, providing focused task lighting over a 4-6 ft island
- Dining rooms, hung above a table to create a warm, inviting atmosphere
- Entryways with high ceilings, making a statement as a focal point
- Hallways or stairwells, adding a touch of modern elegance
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct water exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Covered outdoor areas that are exposed to rain or moisture
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is 14.88 inches
How bright is it?
This fixture uses one 100W incandescent bulb (not included) and is compatible with LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. With a standard 100W incandescent, you can expect around 1600 lumens - bright enough for ambient lighting in a small to medium room. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, select a 2700K-3000K bulb. For a brighter, more energizing light, choose a 4000K-5000K bulb. The opal glass shade diffuses the light, creating a soft, even glow.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 7 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 15.63 inches high, with a canopy of 4.88 inches. The hanging height is adjustable from 14.88 to 38.88 inches, making it suitable for a variety of ceiling heights. It is sloped ceiling adaptable, so it can be installed on vaulted or angled ceilings.
