Description
A 6-inch semi-flush mount light with a matte black metal frame and a slate glass teardrop shade, perfect for kitchens, dining rooms, and other spaces needing a stylish ambient light.
The Brookhaven Almond collection features a dynamic teardrop silhouette that adds visual interest to any ceiling. The matte black finish pairs beautifully with the smoky slate glass, creating a fixture that works in industrial, modern, and transitional settings.
Best for
- Kitchens and dining rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings, providing warm ambient light over tables or islands.
- Living rooms and bedrooms where a statement piece is desired without overwhelming the space.
- Hallways and entryways, adding a touch of sophistication.
- Covered porches or sunrooms, as this fixture is damp-rated.
- Industrial or modern-contemporary interiors seeking a bold accent.
Not ideal for
- Large open-plan areas requiring high light output, as this single 100-watt fixture provides moderate illumination.
- Sloped ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped-ceiling adaptable.
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain, despite the damp rating.
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100-watt incandescent bulb (not included), this fixture can produce up to about 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100W bulb. This is suitable for ambient lighting in small to medium spaces, but not as a primary task light.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K bulb. The slate glass shade diffuses light, creating a soft, even glow. This fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 6 inches wide by 14.5 inches high, with a 4.88-inch canopy. It is designed for flat ceilings and requires a minimum ceiling height of about 7 feet. The compact size makes it ideal for hallways, closets, and small rooms.
