Best for
- Kitchen islands measuring 72-96 inches wide, hung 30-36 inches above the counter
- Dining rooms with tables seating 6-8 people, centered over the table
- Open-concept living areas where a statement light is needed
- Breakfast nooks or banquette seating areas
- Covered patios or porches (damp-rated)
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a long drop - minimum hanging height is 14.75 inches
- Spaces requiring a flush mount - this is a pendant-style island light
How bright is it?
With four 100-watt incandescent bulbs (not included), this fixture can produce up to 6,000 lumens - bright enough to serve as a primary light source for a large kitchen island or dining area. For a softer ambiance, use lower-wattage LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The sapphire blue glass shades filter the light, creating a unique, colorful ambiance that enhances the oil rubbed bronze finish.
