Best for
- Entryways and foyers with 8-10 ft ceilings
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient light
- Bedrooms and living rooms with low ceilings
- Dining rooms and breakfast nooks
- Stairwells and landings
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces with sloped ceilings - this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
How bright is it?
This fixture accepts three 100W incandescent bulbs (not included), for a total of 300W. With standard 100W bulbs, it produces about 4800 lumens - bright enough for ambient lighting in a large entryway or hallway. If you use 60W equivalent LEDs, expect around 2400 lumens, suitable for general lighting.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting feel, use 2700K-3000K bulbs. The slate glass shades diffuse the light, creating a soft, even glow. This fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit the mood.
Sizing and fit
The semi-flush mount measures 23.5 inches wide and 14.88 inches tall, making it suitable for rooms with 8-10 ft ceilings. It is not sloped ceiling adaptable, so it requires a flat ceiling.
