Description
A 48-inch wide, four-light island light from the Bridal Veil collection, finished in oil rubbed bronze with mercury glass shades, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Bridal Veil island light brings an industrial-modern aesthetic to your home. The oil rubbed bronze finish and mercury glass shades create a vintage-inspired look that fits seamlessly with transitional, industrial, and modern decor. The fixture includes adjustable stems for customizable hanging lengths, and a 90-degree swivel for sloped ceilings.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 60-72 inches long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter
- Dining room tables, providing broad ambient light
- Large foyers or entryways with high ceilings
- Open-plan living areas, as a statement piece
- Breakfast bars, paired with pendant lights for layered lighting
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a flush mount, as this fixture hangs at least 16.88 inches
How bright is it?
With four 400-watt incandescent bulbs (not included), the total wattage is 1600W, but the lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose. For reference, a 400W incandescent bulb produces about 6000 lumens, so this fixture can be very bright, suitable for task lighting over a kitchen island.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you install. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness and mood. The mercury glass shades diffuse light softly, creating a warm, inviting glow.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 47.75 inches wide, 5 inches deep, and 10 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 16.88 to 40.88 inches using the included stems. It is suitable for rooms with at least 8-foot ceilings.
