Description
A 5-inch semi-flush mount ceiling light with a mercury glass bell shade and oil rubbed bronze metal frame, ideal for industrial and vintage-inspired spaces.
The Bridal Veil features a hand-blown mercury glass shade that adds a touch of vintage glamour. The oil rubbed bronze frame and canopy provide a sturdy, industrial contrast. This fixture fits seamlessly into industrial, modern, and restoration-vintage interiors, making it a versatile choice for hallways, bedrooms, and dining areas.
Best for
- Hallways and entryways with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing ambient light and a vintage touch
- Bedrooms and sitting areas where a soft, diffused glow is desired
- Dining rooms and breakfast nooks, adding a decorative focal point
- Industrial and transitional interiors that appreciate hand-blown glass and bronze finishes
- Powder rooms and small bathrooms (damp-rated), mounted away from direct water
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as the fixture is damp-rated but not wet-rated
- Sloped ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Spaces requiring bright task lighting, as the 5-inch shade provides limited illumination
How bright is it?
This fixture uses one 100W incandescent bulb (not included) and is compatible with LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. With a standard 100W bulb, it produces approximately 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100W incandescent, providing ample ambient light for small to medium rooms. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting atmosphere, select a 2700K-3000K warm white LED bulb, which complements the mercury glass and bronze finish. The mercury glass shade creates a soft, reflective glow when illuminated. This fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
This semi-flush mount measures 5 inches in diameter and 10.5 inches in height, making it a compact choice for rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter, and the fixture weighs only 2.7 lbs, making it easy to install. It is not suitable for sloped ceilings.
