Its heavy cast metal backplate in oil rubbed bronze is paired with a hand-blown blue glass bell shade, creating a striking accent. This sconce can be mounted up or down, and is rated for damp locations, making it a versatile choice for various spaces.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading sconce beside the bed at eye level
- Hallways, mounted at eye level to provide ambient accent lighting
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or artwork for a warm glow
- Bathrooms with a vanity, mounted on either side of the mirror (damp-rated)
- Covered patios or sunrooms, as it is rated for damp locations
Not ideal for
- Large rooms where this sconce would be the primary light source, as it is an accent light
- Spaces requiring a wet-rated fixture, as this is rated for damp locations only
- Areas with very low ceilings, as the sconce extends 7 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
This sconce is rated for a maximum 100W bulb, but the lumen output depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, ambient glow, a 60W equivalent LED bulb (about 800 lumens) is recommended. It is not intended as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you install. For a warm, inviting feel, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The blue glass shade will tint the light, creating a unique, colored accent. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
