Description
An industrial-style 8-light linear island pendant in polished nickel with seedy glass shades, perfect for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Boreas collection offers an industrial take on modern sophistication. This fixture features cylindrical glass shades set in an updated restoration-style frame with intricate knurling detail on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The polished nickel finish and seedy glass create a warm, textured light.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, providing bright task lighting over a 6-8 ft island
- Dining rooms, hung above a rectangular table
- Game rooms or dinettes for a stylish, industrial look
- Open-plan living areas to define a dining or kitchen zone
Not ideal for
- Small spaces with low ceilings - the minimum hanging height is 17 inches
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Outdoor areas without protection from the elements
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. It accepts up to 8 bulbs (60W max each), so with 60W incandescent bulbs it can produce around 4800 lumens - enough for a large kitchen or dining area. LED bulbs are recommended for energy efficiency.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The seedy glass shades diffuse the light, reducing glare and creating a soft ambiance.
Sizing and fit
Measures 48 inches wide, 3 inches deep, and 10.75 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 17.08 to 35.08 inches using the included stems. The canopy is 15.75 inches long. Suitable for rooms with ceilings at least 8 feet high.
