Description
A 48-inch linear island pendant from the Boreas Collection, finished in brushed brass with white glass shades, for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Boreas Collection brings an industrial edge to modern sophistication. Cylindrical glass shades sit in an updated restoration-style frame, with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The brushed brass finish and white glass create a warm, refined look that suits both contemporary and transitional interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter for task lighting
- Dining rooms over a 6-8 foot table, providing ambient light for meals
- Game rooms or dinettes where a linear fixture adds character and focused illumination
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree swivel
- Damp-rated locations like covered patios or sunrooms
Not ideal for
- Small spaces under 8 feet wide, as the 48-inch length may overwhelm
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, due to size
- Low ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is about 17 inches
How bright is it?
With eight 60-watt max sockets (bulbs not included), you can achieve up to 4800 lumens if using 60W incandescent equivalents. This is bright enough for primary kitchen or dining lighting. LED bulbs are recommended for energy savings and lower heat.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The white glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare and creating a pleasant ambiance.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 48 inches wide, 3 inches deep, and 10.75 inches high. Hanging height is adjustable from 17.08 to 35.08 inches using the included stems (two 6-inch and four 12-inch). Canopy is 15.75 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. Ideal for ceilings 8 feet or higher.
