Description
A 48-inch linear island pendant from the Boreas Collection, finished in brushed brass with striped clear glass shades - built for kitchen islands and dining room tables.
The Boreas Collection takes an industrial approach to modern sophistication. Cylindrical glass shades sit in an updated restoration-style frame, with intricate knurling detail on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The brushed brass finish and striped clear glass give it a refined, vintage-inspired look that works beautifully over a kitchen island or dining table.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 ft long, hung 30-36 in above the countertop
- Dining room tables, centered over the table for ambient and task lighting
- Game rooms and dinettes where a linear fixture adds character
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings - includes a 90-degree hang straight swivel
- Damp-rated locations like covered patios or bathrooms with ventilation
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms or hallways - this 48-inch fixture needs a wide open space
- Low ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 30-inch hanging length
- Spaces where you want a single point of light - this is a linear multi-light design
How bright is it?
With eight 60-watt max sockets, the total output depends on the bulbs you choose. Using standard 60W incandescent bulbs, you can achieve up to 4800 lumens - bright enough to serve as the primary light source for a large kitchen or dining area. LED bulbs can provide similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you select. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The striped clear glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare while still allowing the bulb filaments to show through for a vintage aesthetic. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood from bright task lighting to a soft ambient glow.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 48 inches wide, 3 inches deep, and 10.75 inches high. It includes two 6-inch and four 12-inch stems, allowing a customizable hanging length of up to 30 inches. The overall height ranges from 17.08 to 35.08 inches. The rectangular canopy is 15.75 inches deep, 4.5 inches wide, and 0.75 inches high. This linear pendant is ideal for kitchen islands and dining tables in medium to large rooms.
