Description
A 48-inch, 8-light linear island light from Innovations Lighting's Boreas Collection, finished in satin nickel with clear glass cylinder shades - ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Boreas linear island light offers an industrial take on modern sophistication. Its cylindrical glass shades are set in an updated restoration-style frame with intricate knurling details on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The satin nickel finish and clear glass create a clean, versatile look that complements a variety of decors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the countertop
- Dining room tables, centered above the table for ambient lighting
- Game rooms and dinettes, providing bright, even illumination
- Industrial, modern, or transitional styled homes
- Covered patios or porches, thanks to its damp location rating
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp rated but not wet rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a longer hanging length
- Rooms where you need a soft, diffused light - the clear glass shades expose the bulbs
How bright is it?
This fixture uses eight bulbs (not included) with a maximum of 60 watts each, so you can achieve up to 480 watts of incandescent equivalent brightness. With LED bulbs, you can get the same brightness at a fraction of the energy. The actual lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose.
Light color and feel
The light color and feel depend on the bulbs you install. For a warm, cozy atmosphere, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. For a brighter, more energizing light, choose 4000K-5000K. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 48 inches wide, 3 inches deep, and 13.75 inches high, with an adjustable hanging height from 17.08 to 35.08 inches. It includes two 6-inch and four 12-inch stems for customization, and a 90-degree swivel for sloped ceilings. Ideal for ceilings 8 feet or higher.
