Description
A 48-inch linear island light with eight clear glass shades, finished in brushed brass, for kitchen islands and dining tables.
The Boreas collection offers an industrial take on modern sophistication. This linear fixture features cylindrical clear glass shades set in a brushed brass frame with intricate knurling details on the sockets, canopy, and finials. It's a statement piece that works well in kitchens, dining rooms, and game rooms.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 ft long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter for task lighting
- Dining room tables, centered over the table for ambient and task lighting
- Game rooms and dinettes, providing broad, even illumination
- Open-plan living areas, defining the kitchen or dining zone
- Vaulted or sloped ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree swivel
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or outdoor areas with direct water exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet locations
- Small spaces under 8 ft ceilings if you need a long drop - the minimum hanging height is 17.08 inches
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on bulbs used (not included). Each socket accepts up to 60W incandescent or equivalent LED, so with 8 bulbs you can achieve substantial illumination.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on bulbs used. Clear glass shades allow the bulb's light to shine through, making it ideal for showcasing vintage-style bulbs. Dimmable for adjustable ambiance.
