Description
A 36-inch, 8-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in satin nickel with white glass shades - ideal for kitchen islands, dining rooms, and game rooms.
The Boreas Collection takes an industrial approach to modern sophistication. Cylindrical glass shades are set in an updated restoration-style frame with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The satin nickel finish and white glass create a clean, versatile look that complements a range of décors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and dining tables, providing ambient light over a 6-8 ft table
- Game rooms and dinettes, adding a stylish focal point
- Rooms with sloped ceilings, as it is sloped ceiling compatible
- Damp locations like covered patios or bathrooms with ventilation
Not ideal for
- Spaces with low ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches
- Areas where you need bright task lighting, as this is more of an ambient fixture
How bright is it?
With 8 bulbs (each up to 60W), the total brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. If using 60W incandescent bulbs, you'll get about 800 lumens per bulb, totaling around 6400 lumens - bright enough for a large dining room or kitchen. LED bulbs can provide similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the light level. The color temperature depends on the bulbs you select - warm white (2700K-3000K) creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere, while cooler temperatures (3500K-4000K) are more energizing. The white glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 36 inches long, 36 inches wide, and 28 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 30.75 to 54.75 inches, making it suitable for ceilings 8 ft and higher. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter.
