Description
An 8-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in satin nickel with striped clear glass shades, designed for kitchens and dining rooms.
The Boreas chandelier brings an industrial edge to modern sophistication. Cylindrical glass shades sit within an updated restoration-style frame, with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The satin nickel finish and striped clear glass create a refined, textured look that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Best for
- Kitchens over a large island or peninsula, providing broad ambient light
- Dining rooms above a table, as a statement piece
- Game rooms and dinettes needing a stylish, functional light source
- Kitchenettes or breakfast nooks where a compact yet impactful fixture is desired
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Low ceilings under 8 feet - the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches
How bright is it?
With eight 60-watt max sockets (480W total), this chandelier can produce substantial brightness. Actual lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose; with LED bulbs, you can achieve bright, energy-efficient illumination suitable for a primary light source in large rooms.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting glow, choose bulbs around 2700K-3000K. The striped clear glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare while adding visual interest. This fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the ambiance.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 36 inches wide, 36 inches deep, and 28 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 30.75 to 54.75 inches via the included 60-inch chain. It is sloped ceiling compatible, making it versatile for various ceiling types.
