Description
A 36-inch, 8-light chandelier with cylindrical smoke glass shades and satin nickel finish, ideal for dining rooms and kitchen islands.
From the Boreas Collection, this chandelier combines industrial aesthetics with modern sophistication. The cylindrical glass shades are hand-blown and set in a restoration-style frame with intricate knurling details on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The satin nickel finish and light smoke glass create a sleek, contemporary look. It is damp-rated, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas.
Best for
- Dining rooms, hung above a table to create a dramatic focal point.
- Kitchen islands, providing ample task lighting over a large island.
- Game rooms or dinettes, adding an industrial-chic vibe.
- Covered patios or porches, thanks to its damp location rating.
- Entryways with two-story ceilings, as a stunning statement piece.
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches.
- Spaces needing a soft, diffused glow, as the glass shades are transparent and the bulbs are exposed.
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is only damp-rated, not wet-rated.
How bright is it?
Each of the eight sockets is rated for up to 60 watts, so with standard 60W bulbs, the total output is around 4800 lumens - comparable to a 300W incandescent. This is bright enough to illuminate a large dining room or kitchen.
Light color and feel
The fixture is compatible with incandescent, LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. The light color will depend on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting feel, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 36 inches long by 36 inches wide by 28 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 30.75 to 54.75 inches. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. It is sloped ceiling compatible and comes with a 60-inch chain.
