Description
An eight-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in satin nickel with clear glass shades, designed for kitchens, dining rooms, and game rooms.
The Boreas Collection takes an industrial approach to modern sophistication. Cylindrical glass shades sit in an updated restoration-style frame, with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The satin nickel finish and clear glass keep the look versatile, fitting both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Best for
- Kitchens over a large island or breakfast bar, providing ambient light for meal prep and casual dining
- Dining rooms centered over a table, creating a warm focal point for gatherings
- Game rooms or dinettes where a statement fixture with ample light is needed
- Rooms with sloped ceilings, as this chandelier is sloped ceiling compatible
- Damp locations such as covered patios or sunrooms, thanks to its damp rating
Not ideal for
- Small spaces under 8-foot ceilings, as the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches and the fixture spans 36 inches wide
- Areas where you need a single bright task light, as this is designed for ambient illumination
How bright is it?
With eight sockets rated for 60 watts each, the total output depends on the bulbs you choose. Using standard 60W incandescent bulbs, you can expect around 4,800 lumens - bright enough to illuminate a large kitchen or dining area. LED or CFL equivalents can provide similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The fixture itself does not determine color temperature; it depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting glow, choose bulbs around 2700K-3000K. The clear glass shades allow the light to shine through unobstructed, creating a bright, airy feel.
Sizing and fit
This chandelier measures 36 inches long, 36 inches wide, and 28 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 30.75 to 54.75 inches, making it suitable for ceilings of 8 feet or higher. The included chain matches the satin nickel finish and extends up to 60 inches.
