Innovations Boreas 36in 8-Light Chandelier | Polished Nickel and Seedy Glass | Kitchen & Dining Room | 36 x 36 x 28 in | Model 617-8CR-PN-G617-8SDY

A 36-inch, 8-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in polished nickel with seedy glass shades, designed for kitchens and dining rooms.

The Boreas chandelier brings an industrial edge to modern sophistication. Its cylindrical glass shades are set in an updated restoration-style frame, with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The polished nickel finish and seedy glass create a warm, textured glow that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Best for

• Kitchens over a large island or peninsula, providing ample ambient light
• Dining rooms above a table, creating a focal point for gatherings
• Game rooms or dinettes where a statement fixture is desired
• Open-concept living areas that need a dramatic centerpiece
• Rooms with sloped ceilings, as it is sloped ceiling compatible

Not ideal for

• Small spaces under 10x10 ft, as the 36-inch width may overwhelm
• Outdoor areas without cover, despite damp rating, as it is not wet rated
• Low ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches

How bright is it?

With eight 60-watt maximum sockets (bulbs not included), this chandelier can produce up to 4,800 lumens if using 60W incandescent bulbs—bright enough to serve as the primary light source in a large kitchen or dining room. For a softer ambiance, use lower-wattage or dimmable LED bulbs.

Light color and feel

The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust from bright task lighting to a warm, intimate glow. The seedy glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare and creating a cozy atmosphere. Compatible with incandescent, LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs; a T-series bulb is recommended for best effect.

Sizing and fit

Overall dimensions are 36 inches wide by 36 inches deep by 28 inches high. The hanging height adjusts from 30.75 to 54.75 inches, making it suitable for ceilings from 8 to 10 feet. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter, and the fixture weighs 12 lbs.
