Description
A 36-inch, 8-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in polished nickel with seedy glass shades, ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Boreas Collection brings an industrial edge to modern sophistication. Cylindrical glass shades sit in an updated restoration-style frame, with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The polished nickel finish and seedy glass create a bright, textured look that suits both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 60 inches or longer, hung 30-36 inches above the counter
- Dining rooms with tables seating 6-8, centered over the table
- Game rooms and dinettes needing a statement light with even illumination
- Open-plan living areas where a single fixture defines the space
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full hanging length
How bright is it?
With 8 sockets rated for 60W each, total output depends on bulbs used. With 60W incandescent bulbs, expect around 4,800 lumens - bright enough for a large dining room or kitchen. LED bulbs can provide similar brightness at lower wattage.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on bulbs chosen. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The seedy glass diffuses light softly, reducing glare and creating a warm ambiance. Dimmable with compatible dimmers and bulbs.
