Description
An 8-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in brushed brass with white glass shades, designed for kitchens and dining rooms.
The Boreas chandelier brings an industrial take on modern sophistication, featuring cylindrical glass shades set in an updated restoration-style frame with intricate knurling detail on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The brushed brass finish and white glass create a warm, inviting glow that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Best for
- Kitchens over a large island or breakfast bar, providing ample task and ambient light
- Dining rooms above a table, creating a focal point for gatherings
- Game rooms, dinettes, and kitchenettes where a statement fixture is desired
- Open-concept living areas that need a dramatic centerpiece
- Rooms with sloped ceilings, as this fixture is sloped ceiling adaptable
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, as the fixture is not wet rated
- Spaces with low ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches
- Areas where you prefer a minimalist or ultra-modern look, as the design is more ornate
How bright is it?
With eight 60-watt maximum sockets, this chandelier can produce up to 4800 lumens (if using 60W incandescent bulbs), making it bright enough to serve as a primary light source in medium to large rooms. For a softer ambiance, use lower-wattage LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light level. With compatible LED bulbs, you can choose a warm white (2700K-3000K) for a cozy, inviting feel, or a cooler daylight (4000K-5000K) for a more energizing atmosphere. The white glass shades diffuse light evenly, reducing glare.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 36 inches in length, width, and 28 inches in height, with a hanging height adjustable from 30.75 to 54.75 inches. It includes a 60-inch chain and a 120-inch cord, making it suitable for rooms with standard to high ceilings. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter.
