Description
A 29-inch, six-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in polished nickel with white glass shades, designed for kitchens and dining rooms.
The Boreas chandelier brings an industrial edge to modern sophistication. Its cylindrical glass shades are set in an updated restoration-style frame, with intricate knurling detail on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The polished nickel finish and white glass create a clean, refined look that complements a range of interiors.
Best for
- Kitchens over a large island or peninsula, providing ambient and task lighting
- Dining rooms above a table, creating a focal point for gatherings
- Game rooms, dinettes, and kitchenettes where a statement fixture is desired
- Open-plan living areas that need a touch of industrial elegance
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full hanging length
- Rooms where a minimalist, non-ornate fixture is preferred
How bright is it?
With six sockets rated for 60W each, the fixture can hold up to 360W of incandescent bulbs. Actual brightness depends on the bulbs you choose; LED bulbs can provide equivalent light with less energy. For a warm, inviting glow, consider 60W equivalent LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light level to suit the mood. The white glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare and creating a warm ambiance. For a classic look, use bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 29 inches in length, width, and 24 inches in height. It hangs from a 60-inch chain, with a minimum height of 30.75 inches and a maximum of 54.75 inches. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. It is sloped ceiling compatible.
