Description
A 29-inch, 6-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in polished nickel with striped clear glass cylinders - an industrial-modern statement for dining rooms and kitchens.
The Boreas chandelier combines an updated restoration-style frame with intricate knurling details on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The hand-blown glass cylinders add texture and depth, while the polished nickel finish brings a sleek, contemporary edge. This fixture is damp-rated and sloped-ceiling compatible, making it versatile for various spaces.
Best for
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 foot table, hung 30-36 inches above the tabletop
- Kitchen islands, providing focused task lighting over a 6-8 foot island
- Game rooms or dinettes where a statement chandelier defines the space
- Sloped ceilings - the included chain and sloped-ceiling adaptability make installation flexible
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a flush mount - this is a hanging chandelier
How bright is it?
This chandelier uses six bulbs (not included) with a maximum of 60W per socket. With LED bulbs, you can achieve a bright, energy-efficient output suitable for dining and kitchen tasks. Lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust from bright task lighting to a warm, intimate glow. The clear glass shades showcase the bulbs, so the light color depends on the bulbs you select. For a warm ambiance, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 29 inches long, 29 inches wide, and 24 inches high. The minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches, and the maximum is 54.75 inches, thanks to the 60-inch chain. This suits standard 8-9 foot ceilings.
