Description
A 29-inch, six-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in matte black with light smoke glass shades, ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Boreas chandelier brings an industrial edge to modern sophistication. Its cylindrical glass shades are set in a restoration-style frame with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The matte black finish and light smoke glass create a moody, sophisticated look that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and dining tables, providing ambient and task lighting over a 4-6 foot table.
- Game rooms and dinettes, adding a stylish focal point.
- Open-concept living areas where a statement light is needed.
- Rooms with sloped ceilings, as it is sloped ceiling adaptable.
- Damp locations like covered patios or bathrooms with ventilation.
Not ideal for
- Spaces with low ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches.
- Areas where a flush mount is required, as this is a hanging chandelier.
- Outdoor locations exposed to direct rain, despite damp rating.
How bright is it?
With six 60-watt maximum sockets (bulbs not included), the brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. Using standard 60W incandescent bulbs, it can produce around 4800 lumens total, suitable for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms. For a softer glow, use lower wattage or dimmable LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The light color is determined by the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting atmosphere, choose 2700K-3000K bulbs. The light smoke glass shades diffuse the light slightly, creating a softer, more intimate glow. This fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood from bright to cozy.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 29 inches in length and width, with a height of 24 inches. The hanging height is adjustable from 30.75 to 54.75 inches, making it suitable for ceilings up to 9 feet or higher. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter, and the included chain matches the matte black finish.
