Description
A 29-inch, 6-light chandelier with hand-blown smoke glass shades, finished in satin nickel - made for dining rooms and kitchen islands.
The Boreas Collection takes an industrial approach to modern sophistication. Cylindrical glass shades in light smoke sit in a restoration-style frame with intricate knurling on sockets, canopy, and finials. The satin nickel finish and hand-blown glass give it a refined, vintage-industrial character that anchors a room.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables 48-60 inches long, hung 30-36 inches above the table
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, centered over the island
- Game rooms and dinettes needing a statement light
- Open-plan living areas with 9-foot ceilings or higher
- Sloped ceilings - adaptable
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms or hallways - this is a large, statement fixture
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet - minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches
- Outdoor uncovered areas - rated for damp locations only, not wet
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer. With six 60W incandescent bulbs (not included), expect roughly 4800 lumens total - bright enough to illuminate a large dining room or kitchen island.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting atmosphere, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The smoke glass shades soften and diffuse light, reducing glare while adding a moody, sophisticated tone.
