Description
A 6-light chandelier from the Boreas Collection, finished in matte black with seedy glass shades - ideal for dining rooms and kitchen islands.
The Boreas chandelier combines industrial style with modern sophistication. Its cylindrical glass shades are set in a restoration-style frame with intricate knurling details on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The matte black finish and seedy glass create a vintage, handcrafted look.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables 48-72 inches long, hung 30-36 inches above the table
- Kitchen islands, providing focused task lighting over a 6-8 foot island
- Game rooms and dinettes, adding a stylish focal point
- Entryways and foyers with two-story ceilings, using the adjustable chain
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet - the minimum hanging height is 30.75 inches, which may be too low
- Spaces requiring bright, even illumination - this is a decorative fixture, not a primary light for large rooms
How bright is it?
With six 60W bulbs (not included), this chandelier can provide ample light for dining and entertaining. The actual lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm glow, use 2700K LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you install. The seedy glass shades diffuse light softly, creating a warm, inviting ambiance. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
