Description
A 48-inch, four-light island light from the Brookhaven Globe collection, finished in black antique brass with slate glass shades - designed for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Brookhaven Globe island light features a sleek, linear design with globe-shaped glass shades that diffuse light beautifully. The black antique brass finish adds a modern-industrial touch, while the slate glass provides a subtle, smoky tint. This fixture is sloped ceiling adaptable and includes multiple stems for customizable hanging lengths.
Best for
- Kitchen islands measuring 6-8 feet long, providing even ambient light
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 foot table, creating a warm focal point
- Open-concept living areas where a linear fixture defines the space
- Covered patios or porches, as this fixture is damp-rated
- Industrial or transitional interiors seeking a modern yet vintage-inspired look
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Small kitchens under 8 feet wide - the 48-inch width may be too large
- Spaces with low ceilings under 8 feet if you need to hang it low
How bright is it?
Each of the four sockets accepts up to a 100-watt bulb, providing a total of up to 400 watts. With LED bulbs, this can deliver 3000-4000 lumens, equivalent to a bright, primary light source for a kitchen island.
Light color and feel
The slate glass shades diffuse the light, creating a soft, warm glow. The color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose; for a warm, inviting feel, select 2700K-3000K bulbs. The fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmer switches and bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 48 inches wide, 7.88 inches deep, and 11.8 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 14.75 to 38.75 inches using the included stems. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter and 6.25 inches wide. It is sloped ceiling adaptable.
