Description
A 48-inch, 4-light island pendant from the Brookhaven Flute Collection, finished in matte black with slate glass shades - a sleek, industrial choice for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Flute pendant features a bell-shaped silhouette that adds a touch of vintage-industrial charm to any space. The matte black metal frame is paired with hand-blown slate glass shades, creating a striking contrast. This fixture is UL damp-rated, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas as well as indoor spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6 to 8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the countertop
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 foot table, providing ambient and task lighting
- Covered patios or porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
- Open-concept living areas where a statement light is needed
- Vaulted or sloped ceilings, with the included 90-degree swivel
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is about 15 inches and may feel low
- Spaces where a flush or close-to-ceiling mount is preferred
How bright is it?
With four sockets rated for up to 100W each, this fixture can produce up to 4,000 lumens if you use 100W equivalent LED bulbs - bright enough to serve as the primary light source for a large kitchen or dining area. The actual brightness depends on the bulbs you choose; bulbs are not included.
Light color and feel
The slate glass shades soften and diffuse the light, creating a warm, ambient glow. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood from bright task lighting to a cozy dinner setting. We recommend using a standard dimmer switch compatible with your bulb type (LED, incandescent, etc.).
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 48 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 15.88 inches high. With the included stems, you can adjust the hanging height from 14.75 to 38.75 inches, making it versatile for various ceiling heights. The canopy is 4.5 inches deep, 6.25 inches wide, and 0.75 inches high.
