Description
A 48-inch, 4-light island pendant from the Brookhaven Flute collection, finished in brushed brass with opal glass shades, perfect for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Brookhaven Flute combines industrial and transitional styling with a sleek, dynamic design. The brushed brass finish and opal glass shades create a warm, diffused light that complements a variety of decor. Hand-blown glass adds a touch of craftsmanship, while the adjustable stems allow for customizable hanging heights.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and peninsulas, providing ample task lighting over a large surface
- Dining rooms, hung above a table for ambient and focused light
- Open-concept living spaces, as a statement piece that bridges kitchen and dining areas
- Breakfast bars and counters, offering even illumination for casual meals
Not ideal for
- Small rooms or spaces with low ceilings - the 48-inch width and adjustable height require adequate clearance
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp rated only, not wet rated for outdoor use
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer. Each socket accepts up to a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), so with four bulbs you can achieve substantial brightness. For reference, four 100W incandescent bulbs produce about 6400 lumens - enough to light a large kitchen island.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, select 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The opal glass shades diffuse light evenly, reducing glare and creating a soft, ambient illumination that flatters the brushed brass finish.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 48 inches wide by 7 inches deep by 15.88 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 14.75 to 38.75 inches using the included stems (two 6-inch and four 12-inch). The rectangular canopy is 4.5 by 6.25 inches. Ideal for kitchen islands 6 feet or longer, with standard 8-9 foot ceilings.
