Description
A 48-inch, 4-light island light from the Brookhaven Cloche Collection, finished in brushed brass with amber glass shades - ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Brookhaven Cloche is a truly dynamic fixture that fits seamlessly amidst most décor styles. Its sleek design and vast offering of finishes and shade options makes it an easy choice for all homes. The hand-blown amber glass shades cast a warm, inviting glow, while the brushed brass finish adds a touch of industrial elegance. With adjustable stems and a sloped ceiling adapter, it adapts to your space with ease.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms over a rectangular table, centered for even illumination
- Open-concept living areas where a statement fixture defines the space
- Vaulted or sloped ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree hang straight swivel
- Industrial, modern, and transitional interiors that appreciate hand-blown glass
Not ideal for
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 30-inch drop - the minimum hanging height is about 15 inches
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Small powder rooms or hallways where a 48-inch fixture would overwhelm the space
How bright is it?
With four 100-watt max sockets (bulbs not included), you can achieve up to 1600 lumens per bulb if using 100W equivalent LEDs, making this a bright primary light source for large areas. The actual brightness depends on the bulbs you choose; we recommend LED or halogen for maximum output.
Light color and feel
The amber glass shades filter the light into a warm, golden glow, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. If you use 2700K bulbs, you'll get a soft, incandescent-like warmth that flatters wood tones and brass finishes. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood from bright task lighting to a soft evening ambiance.
Sizing and fit
This island light measures 7 inches deep, 48 inches wide, and 15.88 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 14.75 to 38.75 inches using the included stems (two 6-inch and four 12-inch). It's designed for rooms with at least 8-foot ceilings; for higher ceilings, you can use additional stems (sold separately) to lower the fixture to your desired height.
