Description
A 26-inch wide, 3-light island light from the Berkshire Collection, finished in polished nickel with clear glass globes, designed for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Berkshire Collection redefines elegance with a seamless fusion of classic sophistication and contemporary flair. Its distinctive herringbone pattern adds a unique, refined aesthetic, while the clear glass globes allow light to disperse captivatingly, casting a warm, inviting glow. Crafted from steel with a polished nickel finish, this fixture brings a modern-contempo touch to any space.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 4-6 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the countertop for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms with a rectangular table, centered above the table for a warm, inviting glow
- Breakfast nooks or eat-in kitchens, providing even illumination over a small table
- Open-concept living areas where a statement light is needed over a peninsula or bar
- Homes with sloped or vaulted ceilings, thanks to its sloped ceiling adaptability
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated, so it should not be installed in areas that get sprayed with water
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a long drop - the minimum hanging height is 15.75 inches, which may be too low for standard 8-foot ceilings
- Those seeking a minimalist or industrial look - the herringbone pattern and polished nickel finish lean more traditional-modern
How bright is it?
This fixture uses three 300W incandescent bulbs (not included) for a total of up to 900W. Since actual lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose, we recommend LED or CFL bulbs for energy efficiency. With three bulbs, you can achieve bright, even illumination suitable for task lighting over a kitchen island.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting glow similar to traditional incandescent, choose bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K. The clear glass globes disperse light evenly, reducing harsh shadows. This fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood from bright task lighting to soft ambient light.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 5.5 inches deep, 26.75 inches wide, and 12 inches high. It hangs via a 10-foot adjustable cord, with a height range of 15.75 to 132.75 inches. The canopy is 5.75 inches deep, 26.75 inches wide, and 0.75 inches high. This size is ideal for kitchen islands 4-6 feet long or dining tables seating 4-6 people.
