Brightness depends on the bulb used. This fixture accepts one medium base (E26) bulb up to 60W incandescent equivalent. Using a 60W equivalent LED bulb (about 800 lumens) provides ample ambient light for a hallway or small room. For a softer glow, use a 40W equivalent (450 lumens).
