Description
A 5-inch mini pendant from the Bridal Veil Collection, finished in satin gold with a hand-blown light smoke glass shade - a compact accent light for kitchen islands, dining nooks, and hallways.
The Ballston mini pendant blends Art Nouveau curves with industrial restoration styling. Its satin gold steel and cast brass frame pairs with a hand-blown bell-shaped glass shade in light smoke, giving each piece a unique artisanal look. The included stems allow a 30-inch total hanging length, and the solid brass swivel adapts to sloped ceilings.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in pairs or threes over a 6-8 ft counter
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, providing focused task light over a table
- Hallways and entryways, as a decorative accent at 7-8 ft height
- Living rooms with high ceilings, used in a cluster for ambient light
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp rated, but not wet rated
- Large open rooms needing primary illumination - this is an accent light, not a main light source
- Spaces with ceilings under 7 ft if you need the full 39.75-inch drop
How bright is it?
Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose; the fixture accepts up to a 100W incandescent equivalent. With a standard 60W bulb, expect about 800 lumens - enough for task lighting over a small table or accent lighting in a hallway.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb; the fixture is dimmable and compatible with incandescent, LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. For a warm, inviting glow, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The light smoke glass shade softens and diffuses the light, reducing glare.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 5 inches wide by 9 inches high, with a 4.5-inch round canopy. The hanging height adjusts from 15.75 to 39.75 inches using the included 6-inch and two 12-inch stems. Ideal for ceilings 8-9 ft high; the swivel allows sloped ceiling installation.
