Description
A 5-inch mini pendant from the Bridal Veil Collection, finished in satin nickel with a hand-blown light smoke glass shade - ideal for adding vintage-industrial charm to kitchens, dining areas, and entryways.
The Ballston mini pendant brings an artisanal touch to any room. Its bell-shaped glass shade is hand-blown, featuring a subtle smoke tint that adds depth and character. The satin nickel hardware and textured cord complement a range of decor styles, from industrial to restoration-vintage.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row for task lighting over a 6-8 ft counter
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, providing warm ambient light above a table
- Entryways and foyers, creating a welcoming focal point
- Hallways and stairwells, adding character and illumination
- Coffee bars and serving stations, offering focused light where needed
Not ideal for
- Large open rooms needing bright, widespread illumination - this is a single 100W fixture best for accent or task lighting
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - though damp-rated, it's not rated for wet locations
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 120-inch cord length
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. With a 100W incandescent equivalent LED bulb, expect around 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb, suitable for task lighting over a counter or table. For softer ambient light, use a lower-wattage bulb.
Light color and feel
The light smoke glass shade diffuses light, creating a soft, warm glow with a hint of moodiness. For a classic look, use a 2700K-3000K bulb to achieve a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood from bright task lighting to a gentle evening glow.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 5 inches wide and 9 inches tall, with a height range of 12.75 to 129.75 inches thanks to the 120-inch adjustable cord. It works well over kitchen islands, dining tables, and in entryways with standard 8-9 ft ceilings. The round canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter.
