Description
A 48-inch four-light island pendant from the Bridal Veil collection, finished in satin gold with mercury glass shades - perfect for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Ballston Bridal Veil is a dynamic fixture that blends art nouveau and industrial styles. The satin gold frame and mercury glass shades create a vintage, artisanal look. Each glass shade is handblown, making every piece unique. The fixture includes stems for adjustable hanging and swivels for sloped ceilings.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, providing even ambient light
- Dining rooms and breakfast nooks, adding a touch of vintage elegance
- Open-plan living spaces where you want a statement piece
- Homes with sloped ceilings - swivels included
- Restoration-vintage or art nouveau interiors
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is about 16 inches
- Anyone wanting a flush mount - this is a pendant and requires hanging space
How bright is it?
Each socket accepts up to 100W incandescent (or equivalent LED), so total brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. With four 60W equivalent LED bulbs, you'll get roughly 3200 lumens - enough for ambient lighting in a large kitchen or dining room. For a brighter task light, use higher-wattage bulbs.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The mercury glass shades diffuse light softly, creating a warm, ambient feel. This fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 48 inches wide by 5 inches deep by 9.5 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from about 16 inches to 40 inches using the included stems. The canopy is 4.5 inches by 6 inches. This island light works well over a 6-8 foot island or table.
