Description
A 17-inch, 3-light flush mount from the Bridal Veil Collection, finished in oil rubbed bronze with seedy glass shades, ideal for bedrooms and hallways.
The Ballston flush mount brings a vintage yet versatile look to any home. Its bell-shaped glass shades and oil rubbed bronze finish evoke an Art Nouveau or industrial aesthetic, while the sturdy steel and cast brass construction ensures lasting quality. This fixture is damp-rated, making it suitable for covered porches or bathrooms, and it is dimmable to set the perfect mood.
Best for
- Bedrooms with 8-10 ft ceilings, providing ambient light above a bed or seating area.
- Hallways and entryways, mounted flush to the ceiling to save space.
- Covered patios or porches, thanks to its damp-rated safety listing.
- Bathrooms with adequate ventilation, as it is damp-rated.
- Living rooms with a vintage or industrial decor theme.
Not ideal for
- Spaces with sloped ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable.
- Areas requiring bright task lighting, as this is an ambient fixture.
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain, as it is only damp-rated.
How bright is it?
With three 300W incandescent bulbs (not included), this fixture can produce up to 12,000 lumens if using 300W bulbs, but typical use with 60W bulbs yields around 2,400 lumens. It's bright enough for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms, but not for task lighting.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light level. The seedy glass shades diffuse the light, creating a warm, inviting glow. The color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose; for a warm, cozy feel, use 2700K-3000K bulbs.
Sizing and fit
This flush mount measures 16.75 inches in diameter and 10 inches in height, making it a compact choice for rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings. The round canopy is 13 inches in diameter. It is not adaptable for sloped ceilings.
