Description
A 15-inch, two-light bathroom vanity light from the Ballston Bridal Veil Collection, finished in antique brass with mercury glass shades - a vintage-inspired choice for bathrooms and powder rooms.
The Ballston brings an artisanal touch to your bath with handblown mercury glass shades that give each piece a unique, artisanal look. The antique brass finish over steel and cast brass construction adds a warm, vintage feel that complements a range of decor styles, from Art Nouveau to industrial and restoration-vintage.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 24-36 inch vanity, mounted horizontally above the mirror
- Powder rooms where you want a statement light with a vintage, artisanal look
- Damp locations such as bathrooms with ventilation, as it is UL/CUL damp rated
- Spaces with 8-foot or higher ceilings, given its 10-inch height
- Homes with a transitional or vintage-inspired design aesthetic
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas without cover - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Spaces where you need a bright, task-oriented light - this fixture is best for ambient or accent lighting
- Very narrow vanities under 24 inches, as the fixture is 15 inches wide
How bright is it?
This fixture uses two 200W incandescent bulbs (not included), but is rated for a maximum of 100W per socket. With LED bulbs, you can achieve bright, efficient illumination. The actual lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose; with two 100W equivalent LED bulbs, you can expect around 3000 lumens, which is suitable for a bathroom vanity.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light to your preferred level. The mercury glass shades diffuse light softly, creating a warm, inviting glow. For a vintage feel, pair with ST64-style bulbs with a color temperature around 2200K-2700K for a warm, amber tone.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 15 inches wide, 6.63 inches deep, and 10 inches high, with a 6.63-inch extension from the wall. The backplate is 6 inches wide and 4.5 inches high. It is designed for horizontal mounting on a wall, making it ideal for above a bathroom mirror or vanity.
