Description
A 5-inch semi-flush mount ceiling light with an antique brass finish and a hand-blown light smoke glass shade, ideal for hallways, entryways, and bedrooms.
The Ballston from the Bridal Veil Collection brings an artisanal touch to any room. Its bell-shaped glass shade is hand-blown, making each piece unique, and the antique brass finish over steel and cast brass adds a vintage yet industrial character. This fixture fits seamlessly into Art Nouveau, Industrial, and Restoration-Vintage interiors.
Best for
- Hallways and entryways with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing warm ambient light
- Bedrooms as a primary ceiling light, especially in smaller rooms up to 10x10 ft
- Dining areas and breakfast nooks where a compact, stylish fixture is needed
- Covered porches and sunrooms, as it is damp-rated
- Spaces with a vintage or industrial design theme
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, to avoid excessive moisture
- Rooms with sloped ceilings, as it is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Large open-plan areas needing bright, widespread illumination
How bright is it?
This fixture accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included), producing approximately 1600 lumens if using a standard 100W bulb. That's comparable to a traditional 100W bulb, suitable for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED or dimmable bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. With a warm white LED (2700K-3000K), it emits a cozy, golden glow that flatters wood tones and antique finishes. The hand-blown glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare. This fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood from bright to intimate.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 5 inches wide and 10.25 inches high, with a round canopy of 4.5 inches. It is designed for flat ceilings only; it is not sloped ceiling adaptable. The compact size makes it ideal for hallways, foyers, and bedrooms with standard 8-foot ceilings.
