Best for
- Bedrooms as a reading light beside the bed
- Hallways and staircases for ambient lighting
- Living rooms to highlight artwork or architectural features
- Dining rooms for a cozy, intimate atmosphere
- Bathrooms rated for damp locations
Not ideal for
- Large rooms where a single sconce may not provide enough light
- Outdoor areas - rated for damp locations only, not wet
- Spaces with very low ceilings - the sconce extends 6.75 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce can produce up to about 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb. It's suitable for accent or ambient lighting, but not as a primary light source for large rooms.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The seedy glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle, textured glow. The fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmable bulbs and a dimmer switch.
