Description
A 5-inch wall sconce from the Bridal Veil Collection, finished in black antique brass with a light smoke glass bell shade, ideal for bedrooms and hallways.
The Ballston sconce brings an artisanal touch to any wall with its hand-blown glass shade and sleek steel and cast brass frame. The black antique brass finish pairs beautifully with the smoky glass, creating a vintage yet versatile look that suits Art Nouveau, industrial, and restoration-vintage interiors.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a bedside reading light or accent beside a dresser
- Hallways and corridors, providing warm ambient light along the wall
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console for balanced illumination
- Entryways, adding a welcoming glow above a console table
- Dining rooms, used as accent lighting on a feature wall
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this sconce is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces where a primary light source is needed - this is an accent fixture, not a room's main light
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce can produce up to about 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100W bulb. However, for accent lighting, a lower-wattage LED or the recommended ST64 bulb will provide a softer glow. Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you install. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The light smoke glass shade diffuses light gently, reducing glare and creating a soft, inviting ambiance. This sconce is dimmable, so you can adjust brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
This sconce measures 5 inches wide, 6.75 inches deep, and 10 inches high, with a 6.75-inch extension from the wall. It suits most wall spaces, including narrow hallways and beside doorways. The rectangular backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 6 inches high, providing a stable mount.
