Description
A 51-inch, four-light bathroom vanity light in satin gold with white glass shades, designed for contemporary and Art Deco bathrooms.
The Boreas collection offers the sleek silhouette of the Ballston with the flexibility to customize. This vanity light features a satin gold finish on steel and cast brass, paired with cylindrical white glass shades. The sockets swivel at the backplate for easy bulb changes, and the fixture can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a double vanity 60 inches or wider, mounted above the mirror for even task lighting
- Powder rooms where a statement Art Deco or contemporary fixture adds character
- Damp-rated locations like bathrooms, as it is UL/CUL listed for damp areas
- Spaces needing bright, dimmable illumination for grooming and makeup application
Not ideal for
- Outdoor uncovered areas - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet locations
- Small powder rooms under 5 feet wide, as the 51-inch width may overwhelm the space
How bright is it?
With four sockets accepting up to 400W incandescent bulbs (not included), this fixture can produce substantial light. For reference, a 60W incandescent bulb emits about 800 lumens, so with four 60W bulbs you'd get around 3200 lumens - enough to brightly illuminate a large bathroom. LED or CFL equivalents can achieve similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, select bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K. The white glass shades diffuse light, reducing glare and creating a soft, even illumination that flatters skin tones.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 50.75 inches wide, 4 inches deep, and 4.5 inches high, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. It weighs 6 lbs and comes with a heavy cast backplate. Ensure your wall space can accommodate the 51-inch width, and that the mounting area is clear.
