Description
A 51-inch, 4-light bathroom vanity light from the Boreas collection, finished in black antique brass with light smoke glass shades - for bathrooms and powder rooms that need bright, even illumination.
The Boreas combines the sleek silhouette of the Ballston with customizable flair: it accepts any glass or metal shade from the Franklin collection, so you can tailor the look to your space. The black antique brass finish and light smoke glass cylinders give it a contemporary, Art Deco edge that pairs well with modern fixtures and finishes.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a double vanity 60 inches or wider, mounted horizontally above the mirror
- Powder rooms where you want a statement light with a custom look
- Spaces with damp-rated requirements, such as bathrooms with ventilation
- Contemporary or Art Deco interiors that favor geometric shapes and mixed metals
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms under 5 feet wide - the 51-inch width will overwhelm the space
- Outdoor uncovered areas - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
How bright is it?
With four 400W incandescent bulbs (not included), this fixture can produce up to 4,000 lumens - bright enough to serve as the primary light in a large bathroom. If you use LED bulbs, you can achieve similar brightness with lower wattage.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, select 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood from bright task lighting to soft ambient light. The light smoke glass shades diffuse the light gently, reducing glare.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 4 inches deep, 50.75 inches wide, and 4.5 inches high, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. It's designed for wall mounting with a heavy cast backplate. The backplate is 52 inches wide, so ensure your wall space can accommodate it.
