Description

This vanity light features a polished nickel finish with a heavy cast backplate and four cylinder-shaped light smoke glass shades. The Boreas design allows you to swap shades from the Franklin collection to create a custom look. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and the sockets swivel at the backplate for easy bulb changes. It suits contemporary and art deco interiors.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 36-48 in vanity, mounted horizontally above the mirror for even task lighting
- Powder rooms or guest bathrooms, adding a sleek, modern accent
- Hallways or entryways, mounted vertically on either side of a mirror for ambient light
- Dressing areas or walk-in closets, providing bright, even illumination
- Covered outdoor areas - damp-rated for protection from moisture
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with very low ceilings - the fixture extends 4 inches from the wall
- Traditional or rustic interiors that prefer warmer, more ornate fixtures
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by manufacturer, but it accepts four medium-base bulbs up to 100W each. This provides ample task lighting for a bathroom vanity or dressing area.
Light color and feel
The light smoke glass shades diffuse light softly, creating a bright, even glow. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit the mood. Use a standard incandescent dimmer; LED/CFL bulbs may require a compatible dimmer.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 38.75 inches wide, 4.5 inches high, and extends 4 inches from the wall. The backplate is 39 inches wide. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Ideal for vanities 36-48 inches wide; for larger vanities, consider a longer fixture or multiple units.
